The Nyack Fire Department provides 100% volunteer fire service to the villages of Upper Grand View, South Nyack, Nyack & Upper Nyack in Rockland County, NY.
Alarms are delayed and should not be used for alerting purposes.
At a time when your community needs you most, what better way to serve than with the volunteer fire service? As new problems challenge us, there will always be a need for volunteer first responders who step up and help. You can be one of them by joining now.
Once you become a member of the Nyack Fire Department, you’ll take Basic Exterior Firefighting Operations with the option to move on to Interior Firefighting Operations.
Hydraulic spreaders, cutters and rams (the Jaws of Life) are just a few of the tools of the trade that goes well beyond fighting fires.
Teamwork is at the center of everything we do. The brother and sisterhood of the volunteer fire service share the same basic training, rewarding experiences and life-changing growth that you can only find in the fire service.
We provides members with gear and equipment along with essential life-saving training
Access to income tax credits, property tax reductions
Free physicals & flu shots are offered to members of the department.
Eligibility for affordable coverage from the New York State Health Insurance Program (NYSHIP).
